Terms and conditions
Our tours are operated car-free by the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) and corresponding mountain railways/aerial cableways.
SWISSDAYTOURS is entitled to amend or cancel the tour should it be insecure or impossible to operate due to severe weather, in case of an emergency, death, accident or sickness of a company member or its close family. In case of cancelation from our side, we will reimburse 100% of the already paid amount.
The operator (SWISSDAYTOURS, Mark Huggenberger) does not provide insurance for the tour participants.
Participation in our tours and any activities offered during the tour is at participants own risk. Travel insurance is highly recommended.
In case of an accident, sickness or another emergency of a tour participant the tour operator, SWISSDAYTOURS Mark Huggenberger, has the right to organize medical assistance, medical evacuation by air ambulance or any other aid that deem to be necessary at the participant's cost.
Excluding gross negligence by Swissdaytours, the participant waives any claims against the operator (Swissdaytours, Mark Huggenberger) for injury, damage or loss.
Swissdaytours, Mark Huggenberger, cannot accept responsibility for any losses, amendments, delays or cancelations due to technical failure, sickness, weather, and strikes.
Your private guide will meet you at the agreed-upon meeting time and place, and wait 30-minutes for you. If you fail to show up within a half hour of the agreed-upon time, the tour will be booked as a no-show, and the prepaid amount will be charged nonrefundable by SWISSDAYTOURS, Mark Huggenberger
Arriving late to the agreed-upon meeting place or providing the operator, SWISSDAYTOURS Mark Huggenberger, with incorrect pick-up information may result in a late departure, an amended tour, missing key attractions of the trip, little time at the vantage points or a canceled tour. No refund or discount will be given in this case.
If you are not able or willing to pay the agreed upon price of the tour, at time of departure, the tour will be canceled and booked as a no-show, the initial deposit will be non-refundable according to our refund policy. Should none of your credit/debit cards work, you will get a chance to retrieve money from an ATM in the morning instead. If this fails as well then we need to halt the tour, and return to your departure city.
If a tour can not be operated, because operations has ceased for safety, weather or technical reasons, then the full tour price will be refunded. A delay due to safety, weather or technical reasons does not warrant a refund. If only a small portion of the tour (for example a visit of a village) is canceled due to safety, weather, or technical related reasons, there is no refund.
The liability for damage, claims and financial loss, is in all cases restricted to the double amount of the tour price.
The participant's personal belongings are at the owner’s risk throughout the tour.
We reserve the right to cancel the tour or remove a participant without refund from the tour due to inappropriate behavior or intoxication.
The sole place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from a contract or tour operated by Swissdaytours, Mark Huggenberger has been agreed to be Zurich, Switzerland.
If any provision of this agreement is held to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, under any applicable enactment or the rule of law, such illegality, invalidity or unenforceability shall not affect the remainder of this agreement.
Cancel up to 2 weeks before departure: the deposit will be refunded.
A service charge of CHF 50.- per tour will be deducted.
Cancellation later than two weeks before departure or no-show: no refund
Bookings for the Glacier Express, Bernina Express, and Gelmer funicular:
CHF 40.- seat reservation fee per person, including the guide, is non-refundable.
