Lion Monument (Löwendenkmal)
Visit the impressive, colossal and well-preserved Lion Monument. It commemorates the Swiss Guards who were massacred in 1792 during the French Revolution when revolutionaries stormed the Tuileries Palace in Paris.
It is located close to the Gletschergarten and the Alpine Museum.

Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke)
It's the landmark of the city and the second longest wooden covered bridge in Europe.
As part of the city fortification, this beautiful wooden footbridge was constructed in the first half of the 14th century.
It is named after the nearby located St. Peter's chapel. In the 17th century, paintings were added with scenes of Swiss history.
