Lion monument (Löwendenkmal)
Visit the impressive, colossal and well-preserved Lion Monument. It commemorates the Swiss Guards who were massacred in 1792 during the French Revolution when revolutionaries stormed the Tuileries Palace in Paris.
It is located close to the Gletschergarten and the Alpine Museum.
Transport Museum of Switzerland

Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke)
The landmark of the city. A part of the city fortification this beautiful wooden footbridge was constructed in the first half of the 14th century.
It is named after the nearby located St. Peter`s chapel.
In the 17th century, painting was added with scenes of Swiss history.
