Lion monument (Löwendenkmal)

Visit the impressive, colossal and well-preserved Lion Monument. It commemorates the Swiss Guards who were massacred in 1792 during the French Revolution when revolutionaries stormed the Tuileries Palace in Paris.

It is located close to the Gletschergarten and the Alpine Museum.

Transport Museum of Switzerland

You will find here a huge selection. From aviation to rail transport. A very comprehensive museum about transport.
Perfect for the whole family. There is something to do for everyone.

The best is you can visit the chocolate adventure at no additional cost as it's integrated into the museum.

The best way to get there is to take a short boat ride to Verkehrshaus-Lido.

Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke)

It's the landmark of the city and the second longest wooden covered bridge in Europe.

As part of the city fortification this beautiful wooden footbridge was constructed in the first half of the 14th century.

It is named after the nearby located St. Peter's chapel. In the 17th century, painting was added with scenes of Swiss history.

A must-do visit when you are in Lucerne.

It's highly recommend to do a cruise on Lake Lucerne. You can do various round trips of various durations.
