Lucerne to Jungfraujoch day trip

Day trip from Lucerne by train with a local Switzerland private guide

Your private guide will meet you before the tour at your Hotel or Apartment in Lucerne. Start your day without any worries.

We depart between 7 and 8 AM from the Lucerne train station.

Our first ride will be on the Brünig train line, part of the Golden Pass panoramic route. It will take about 2 hours. Along shores of five lakes and past waterfalls. Don`t miss the opportunity to head up the Bruenig mountain pass by train. You will enjoy beautiful views of the Swiss Alps through large panoramic windows.

We will continue on regional trains and the Jungfraubahn which will bring you to 11`333 feet, 3454 meters above sea level, the highest train station in Europe. A fascinating trip with stunning panorama stops such as "Eismeer" which translates to Sea of ice.

At the top of Jungfraujoch, we have plenty of time to visit all the attractions such as the ice palace,  the Swiss chocolate heaven of the famous Swiss chocolate producer Lindt. The panorama from the outside lookout platforms and the elevator to the Sphinx viewing platform which will bring you in 25 seconds a full 108 meters higher are some of many more activities that wait for us.

Of course, there is as well time for you to relax and have a lunch.

On our way back we take a different route, so you have the chance to see even more of Switzerland.

From Interlaken, we take the Interlaken-Lucerne Express over the Brünig Pass again and return to Lucerne.

We arrive between 9 and 10 PM at the Lucerne train station from where your guide will take you to your Hotel or Apartment.
