Our first ride (from Zurich 2nd) will be on the Brünig train line, part of the Golden Pass panoramic route. Don`t miss the opportunity to head up the Bruenig mountain pass by train. The ride which takes about 2 hours will take us along the shores of five lakes and past waterfalls. You can enjoy the beautiful views of rural Switzerland through large panoramic windows on this ride to Interlaken.
After a quick coffee break in Interlaken, we visit the idyllic village of Lauterbrunnen.
We continue our journey on the Wengeralpbahn and the Jungfraubahn which will bring us to 11`333 feet, 3454 meters above sea level, the highest train station in Europe. A fascinating trip with stunning panorama stops such as "Eismeer" which translates to Sea of ice.
At the top of Jungfraujoch, we have enough time for you to visit all the attractions such as the ice palace and underground tunnel out of ice. Enjoy The Lindt Swiss chocolate heaven, soak up the panorama from the outside platforms and ride the elevator to the Sphinx viewing platform which will bring us in 25 seconds a full 108 meters higher.
Of course, there is time for you to relax and have lunch.
When you are ready, we start our return journey to Interlaken.
On our way down from the Jungfraujoch, we take a different route through Grindelwald, back to Interlaken so that you have the chance to see even more of Switzerland.
To Zurich, we return from Interlaken with the fast train through Bern.
To Lucerne, we return from Interlaken on the Brünig train line.
