As a sole proprietor with a capacity of one tour per day, I can be fully booked far in advance.

Mount Titlis and Lucerne tour from Zurich

Our day tour from Zurich starts shortly after 7 a.m. We travel to Engelberg, which requires just one change of trains in Lucerne. From there, we start the ascent to Mount Titlis with two different gondolas, the Titlis Xpress and the famous Titlis Rotair, the first revolving gondola. They will bring us to the summit at 3020 meters above sea level.

As this is a private tour, and as we will have plenty of time, you can stay up to four hours on the Mountain peak. Enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime experience without a rush and be able to do all the offered activities:

- Take the Titlis Ice Flyer chairlift and fly over glacier crevasses (weather permitting)

- do a thrilling walk over the Titlis Cliff Walk, the highest suspension bridge in Europe (weather permitting)

- head into the Titlis glacier cave, located ten meters below the surface of the glacier

- Snow tubing at the Titlis glacier park (seasonal from May to August and depending on the snow conditions)

- Trübsee adventure (for children, seasonal from June to mid-October and weather permitting)

All the mentioned activities are optional; it's your choice if you want to participate.

An outside platform with snow all year round invites you to play in the snow, build a snowman, or to start a snowball fight.

For your lunch (not included), there is an à la carte restaurant serving delicious regional and international specialties and a self-service restaurant for a quick meal.

In the afternoon, we return on the same route. In Lucerne, we can do a stop, visit the Landmark Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke) and walk through the city before returning to Zurich.

If you like, you can have your dinner in Lucerne before we return to Zurich (not included in the tour price).

- Fee for the private guide, who will stay at your disposal throughout the tour

- Car-free tour by train, mountain railway, and aerial cable car as per the tour description

- Photography by the guide (with your own camera or smartphone)

- A booklet with comprehensive information about Switzerland (one per party, for groups of four persons or larger are two printed copies included)

- Use of a mobile hotspot with unlimited data (Speed: 4G)

What is not included in the tour price?

- Your meals and drinks

- Any personal expenses

- Optional activities

- Travel insurance (participation at your own risk)

This itinerary is only an example. The schedule can vary due to various factors such as the season, the day of the week, construction work, service, and schedule changes.

The exact departure and return time depends on the pick-up/drop-off location.

Customization possibilities:

You can spontaneously extend or shorten the visit to the Mt. Titlis peak (Last gondola down at 5 p.m.)

You can spontaneously shorten, extend, or skip the visit to the Trübsee intermediate station (Last gondola down at 5 p.m.)

You can spontaneously add time to visit the village of Engelberg

You can spontaneously shorten, extend, or skip the visit to Lucerne (Latest possible departure time from Lucerne at 10 p.m.)

We can have a late lunch/early dinner in Lucerne, where there is a large variety of restaurants.

Quick lunch:

There are convenience shops and sandwich outlets along our travel route, where you can grab a bite.

International food options:

Once a reliable weather forecast is available (usually one to three days before departure), I will send you a link to the forecast.

If there is bad weather forecasted, I will include my recommendations for our tour day.

I use the weather forecasts provided by the Federal Office of Meteorology and SRF (Swiss Radio and Television).

With the links below, you can check the weather forecast at any time by yourself. The forecasts are available for the next five days.

Backup schedule: reserve an extra day free of charge

Mt. Titlis tour from Zurich: Depending on availability, I can add an extra day to your booking so we can switch the tour date if bad weather occurs. A few days before departure, we'll decide on which of the two days to run the tour based on the weather forecast.

Operability

This tour can run in any weather condition except during a storm. During a storm, aerial cableways have to halt operations for safety reasons. If there is a storm with gale-force winds in the forecast, I need to cancel the tour. On rare occasions, there may be a cancellation due to landslides, avalanches, and other natural forces or the risk thereof. I will fully refund the deposit in this case.
