Jungfraujoch - private day tour from Zurich by rail
We depart around 7 AM from the Zurich Main Station by train.
Our first stop is Lucerne where we board the Luzern-Interlaken Express.
The ride which takes about 2 hours will take you along the shores of five lakes and past waterfalls. A spectacular train journey over the Bruenig mountain pass. You will enjoy beautiful views of the Swiss Alps through large panoramic windows on the ride to Interlaken.
We will continue on different regional trains and the Jungfraubahnen which will bring you to the very top of Europe, situated at 3454 meters above sea level, the highest train station in Europe. A fascinating trip with stunning panorama stops such as "Eismeer" which translates to Sea of ice.
At the top of Jungfraujoch, we have enough time for you to visit all the attractions such as the ice palace and underground tunnel out of ice. Enjoy The Lindt Swiss chocolate heaven, soak up the panorama from the outside platforms and ride the elevator to the Sphinx viewing platform which will bring you in 25 seconds a full 108 meters higher.
Of course, there is as well time for you to relax and have a lunch.
When you are ready, we start our return journey to Interlaken.
From there we take the most direct train to Zurich.
We arrive between 9-10 PM at the Zurich central station from where we will escort you back to your hotel.
